I spent my 20s in hustle mode leading teams, training staff, and climbing the corporate ladder all while secretly dreaming of becoming a mom. After six years of infertility and a handful of emotional IVF rounds, that dream finally came true.
But what was supposed to be our greatest blessing quickly turned into a nightmare. I developed preeclampsia, which escalated into HELLP syndrome during labor. My son was rushed to the NICU, and I was fighting for my life.
Through tears, fear, and exhaustion, my husband looked at me and said:
“If all you want to do for the rest of your life is be home with our baby, that’s all that matters.”
And so I did. I stepped fully into the role I had longed for. Being the most present mom I could be.
I absolutely loved it.
But a quiet nudge kept tapping me on the shoulder… a whisper that there might be something more, something just for me.
One night, during a contact nap and a scroll through TikTok, I stumbled across a video about print-on-demand. I had no idea what I was doing, but something told me to try. So I gave it a shot. I quickly realized there was a gap in the market for niche-specific mockups, a spark ignited. I thought to myself, I can fill this gap!
I discovered how to create stunning mockups using AI tools like MidJourney, Canva, and ChatGPT. I taught myself everything between nap times and diaper changes. I binged every podcast and Youtube I could get my hands on and within 2 months, I hit my first $10K month on Etsy.
Two years later, my shop is in the top 0.3% on Etsy.
More importantly, I’ve found purpose and freedom in a business that fits around my life not the other way around.
Now I teach other moms how to do the same.
Because you don’t have to choose between being present and being powerful.
You can build something real during the pockets of time you already have.
You can create income, identity, and freedom without sacrificing motherhood.
