My step-by-step workflow for creating and publishing Etsy mockups consistently. From how I stay organized, work in batches, and grow my shop while raising kids.

People ask me all the time: “How do you get everything done as a stay-at-home mom?”

The truth: I don’t do everything every day. I work in batches, I stay organized, and I use systems that save my sanity.

This is my full workflow for running my Etsy mockup shop in a way that fits motherhood, unpredictable schedules, and real life.

My Daily Anchor: 2 Hours Before the Kids Wake Up

This is my deep-focus window for:

  • Trend research

  • Creating new mockups

  • Editing

  • Drafting listings

  • Updating older listings

  • Planning product ideas

Once the kids are up, the rest of the day becomes “task sprinkling,” but the actual business growth happens here.

My Weekly Workflow (Designed for Working in Batches)

DAY 1 — Trend Research + Product Discovery

I start every week by getting ahead of the market.

I look at:

  • Etsy bestseller pages

  • eRank

  • Pinterest trends

  • Printify “New Arrivals”

  • Products that don’t have mockups yet

  • Seasonal shifts

I collect all of this in a running master list of mockups to make.

This eliminates guessing and keeps me focused.

My Batching + File Organization System

This is the backbone of everything I do.
Batching keeps my brain calm.
Organization keeps my business scalable.

1. “Raw Images” Folder on My Computer

Everything goes here first. It is full of AI images, photos, ideas and screenshots.

This prevents clutter inside Canva and keeps my workflow clean.

2. Matching “To Create” Folder in Canva

Only images that are ready for mockup creation get moved here.

3. I ONLY pull 5 images at a time to work on

Five images = focused, achievable, and not overwhelming.

I finish those completely before pulling the next five.

4. All finalized mockups are stored in Google Drive

This is a crucial part of my workflow.

Google Drive lets me:

  • Keep my mockups organized by product type

  • Access them from any device

  • Quickly assemble bundles without redoing work

  • Easily send files to customers (for premium listings)

  • Repurpose products at higher price points

And here’s the best part:

I can create a new high-ticket bundle in minutes.

If I want to release a bundle:

  • I grab the Google Drive folder link

  • Drop it into a PDF

  • Upload that PDF as the product file on Etsy

The bundle is instantly ready. There is no re-uploading, no re-editing, no tracking down files.
This is how I turn one week of work into multiple products.

DAY 2 — Image Creation (Prompting for the images I want)

This is my creative day.

I generate mockups:

  • Lifestyle scenes

  • Seasonal setups

  • Making sure the details like lighting, shadow and texture are accurate

  • Mockups that hit current trends

Everything gets saved into the “Raw Images” folder.

DAY 3 — Editing + Finalizing Mockups

A calm, detail-oriented day focused on:

  • Adding my logo

  • Texture accuracy

  • Make sure design area is clear

  • Adding Smart objects

  • Adding Canva frames

  • Cropping + ratios

  • Removing distractions

The finished mockups are exported and uploaded into Google Drive where everything lives long-term.

DAY 4 — Listing Creation + SEO Drafting

I batch-create:

  • Titles

  • Tags

  • Descriptions

  • Pricing

  • Images

  • Variations

  • Bundles

Everything is saved as a draft, so each morning I publish one listing.

This keeps the shop active without burning me out.

DAY 5 — Product Research + Market Gaps

I look for:

  • New Printify products

  • Items missing mockups

  • Items that need size charts

  • Seasonal or trending colors

  • Gifts + holiday opportunities

  • Gaps other sellers aren’t filling

This is how I stay ahead.

Micro Tasks for Mom Life

For the in-between moments:

  • Pinning mockups

  • Light image edits

  • Updating older listings

  • Trend scrolling

  • Organizing folders

  • Customer messages

These keep the business moving even on chaotic days.

Why This System Works

Because it’s:

  • Batch-based

  • Repeatable

  • Organized

  • Flexible

  • Realistic for moms

  • Built around consistent shop activity

You always know the next step.
You always have listings ready.
You’re building assets—not just products.
